The Lithium Polymer (Li Po) Cell smaller capacity range (15mAh to 950mAh) includes 200 models which offer designers increased flexibility when it comes to powering the next generation of wearable and micro devices. The cells come in low profile, high energy density packages for fitting into those tightest of spaces and helping to reduce overall product weight. IBT can offer Lithium ion polymer cells with factory fitted protection circuit modules (PCM). The PCM provides protection against over voltage, under voltage and over current / short circuits with an optional ntc thermistor output. Even with this pcb fitted, discharge termination and charge termination is required. The PCM may increase dimensions of the bare cell slightly.
Flying leads, output connectors and / or plastic cases can be fitted as required. Please contact IBT for further information.
Where a higher voltage or increased capacity is required cells can be factory assembled to form battery packs, incorporating a battery PCM. Cells can be arranged in series or in parallel, providing a flexible solution to maximise battery compartment space. As with the cell packs, flying leads and output connectors can be fitted as required. For higher volume packs, plastic-cased product can be developed. Please contact IBT for further details.
